Don’t believe the hype. New exotic superfruits appear each month on thesupermarket shelves – each one trying to show off their magical properties. But when we look at the studies, it’s now clear that these fruits are just a passing trend. In 2011, researchers concluded that açai berry is more a phenomenon of Internet marketing than of scientific substance. After all – as the medical watchdog website Quackwatch noted – açai juice has only middling levels of antioxidants and no more vitamin C than oranges.
That being said, superfruits are still fruits. When you eat them whole, they are a great low-calorie snack that will support fat loss and health.
Top Superfruits You (Don’t really) Need!
